A staggering statistic from the CDC is that there were an estimated 107,622 drug overdose deaths in the United States during 2021, an increase of nearly 15% from the 93,655 deaths estimated in 2020. And, each year during 2020–2021, excessive alcohol use led to about 119,600 deaths among boys and men. 58,700 deaths among girls and women.
Rebuilding Lives and Restoring Hope
On June 7, 2017, His Joshua House welcomed our first resident. His story is the beginning of many success stories to follow. Our first resident, who is still sober to this day, has been a beacon of hope and inspiration for us all. His journey and continued support through volunteering fill us with pride and hope for every man who comes to His Joshua House seeking recovery from the grip of addiction. Since opening day, we have served 128 residents. 77% of those men who stayed one year are still sober and are leading productive, God-filled lives. They continue their recovery through volunteer work and leading lives dedicated to the principles of God's word. We are proud of our success rate, which is well above the national average. According to the USA government organization Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration, the reported national average is 68% success rate for recovery after residential treatment.

While we don't have a specific outpatient program, we hold seven separate 12-step meetings a week, open to both men and women from the public. We also have four weekly Bible study sessions at His Joshua House, which we invite the public to join.
